Jessica's Baby Shower Part II

It's time to PARTAY!

FOOD

Here's the food table:

I put my "She's ready to pop" popcorn boxes to good use:

We had homemade naan pizzas and chicken salad with rolls:

We also had shrimp cocktail and zucchini sticks:

Desserts

I made these super-de-duper abstract cake pops.  I was going for a Jackson Pollock sort of look and I think they turned out great!  NOT!  I don't care about stupid Jackson Pollock (it looks like he just sneezed on a canvas).  I was going for a normal cake pop and I couldn't do it (my mix was too crumbly because I didn't add enough frosting).  I totally failed and then just dripped chocolate all over them like giant mess.  However, if you act like you're artistic and cool and meant to make huge gross globs for people to eat, no one will ever know the difference!

To use up the rest of the chocolate (and to have another dessert because the first one looked like puke), I chocolate-coated these cookies...yum!

PARTY TIME

Jess arrived just in time for everyone to yell "SURPRISE!"

Then we ate and the fun began!
I made this Jessica-themed slideshow, which was hilarious:

Then we started decorating onesies:
They turned out great!  Let me tell you, it's not easy to write on fabric and some were Target-worthy:
Here was mine:
Definitely not the pick of the litter, but it gets an important message across.
I also had everyone sign one as a keepsake:
In the end, Racquel won for the best onesie!

We played a guess-this-animal's-gestation-game and Briseida won with 3 points (it was a really hard game):

I bought this chalkboard sign and let people write funny messages.  I wrote this one to get the ball rolling:
Then everyone wrote one of their own:
My brother stopped by later, so I let him write one too:
Kane and Capone wanted pictures with Uncle Jessie too:

Then we opened presents:

My mom made these onesie "cupcakes" and crocheted this blanket:

Lots of people went with the gray, white and yellow theme, which was awesome!  She got so many great gifts, I was overwhelmed with everyone's generosity.

Overall, I think she had a great time.  Either way, I'm just glad I got to throw my best friend a baby shower.

  1. Wow!! Great to see your baby shower. Want to throw a baby shower to my best friend. It will be a girl baby shower. Have decided to arrange it at one of local event venues Chicago. Have already taken best ideas from online. Want to arrange a memorable party.
