I rarely get stomach bugs and I don't know how it happened, but yesterday it happened. I'm not even sure what I ate (I think it had to be the fajitas I had for lunch), but it's been horrible. I won't horrify you with the details, but suffice to say I am officially 10 pounds lighter. I still can barely eat and have a slight fever, but my baby has been taking good care of me (even so far as to rub my back while I projectile vomited into the toilet (I know I promised no gory details-sorry)). He walked all the way to the store in the blistering heat just to get me soup. They don't sell canned soup, so he found me this:
He even added cilantro as a garnish. I'm a very lucky girl.
We were supposed to hit up Hermosa Beach today (about 10 minutes by bus), but since I'm not feeling well, we'll probably just take it easy and go next week. This weekend is supposed to be crazy because Easter is a big deal. 90% of Ticos are Catholics and Easter and Christmas are the biggest holidays they celebrate. I'll try to get out there and take some pictures at some point if I'm up for it. Until then...

ReplyDeleteIt's a rite of passage when traveling for long periods. You're stomach will get stronger and more resistant. Hang in there.
