More random happenings around the neighborhood today. We passed many adorable bookstores, and finally went into one:
Random stuff around town:
They had a huge selection, but all in Spanish! I found a few that I actually have on my own bookshelf:
The street we live on is named after this dude:
They also had a great little cafe in the back, where you could grab a few books and drink a coffee and read to your heart's content. My heaven!
Cool candle shop:
Dog walker (these are all over because everyone has a dog):
Random stuff around town:
Check out the cop cars (Robocop much?):
They have huge bumpers in front and back, sometimes even on the sides! Tricked out!
Knick knacks:
I'm not a smoker, but this ashtray is kinda funny:
Mate is a popular drink here (not exactly sure what it is, I think it's a type of tea), and the cup and straw you drink it out of is unique and they sell them everywhere:
We had a big lunch (garlic chicken and a burger):
Before heading home, we stopped at Don Julio's (the fancy steak restaurant from last week) and asked if we could buy some chimichurri sauce, since we haven't been able to find any decent ones at the grocery store. They ended up giving us a tub of it FOR FREE!
Thanks Don Julio!!! We love you!
Tomorrow we're getting booted from our apartment because the cleaning lady's coming, so we're headed to The Center, which is another district filled with bustling businessmen and historic sights. We plan on seeing all there is to see and I plan on taking lots of pictures! Yay!
