Happy Pi day to all the nerds out there! I took a picture of the starfruit tree for anyone who's interested:
Weird how it just looks like a normal ass tree, huh? Anyway, nothing much happened today. Our air conditioner went out (practically a life or death situation!), so our landlord called a repairman and we had to stick around the house and wait for him to come fix it. Thank GOD he did because we were miserable without it.
Tomorrow we have tentative plans to go into town and buy ferry tickets to Montezuma. We're in Jaco (pronounced Ha-ko) and we're planning to take the ferry to Montezuma in the Peninsula de Nicoya. Here's a map with Jaco on the right and the red dotted line across the water leading to Montezuma on the left:
Montezuma is a small town that is supposed to be gorgeous and at the bottom tip of the peninsula there is a beautiful, tiny national park. The ferry costs about $40 each way, so it's not cheap. To offset the costs, we plan to stay in a hostel while we're there (just a couple nights). It's supposed to start raining soon, so we're trying to time it just right (probably Tuesday-Thursday).
I'll keep you posted! Don't forget to eat lots of pie in honor of Pi Day!

ReplyDeleteI have heard it's about an hour or an hour and a half. Not too bad.
