Peeling *DISCLAIMER: This is gross!*

Close this immediately if you have a weak stomach because this is foul.  I don't have a weak stomach and I was almost gagging.  Aaron's burnt his head so bad that it got really brown and then started cracking.  It looked so painful and disgusting!  Here it is:
The white part is the part he's peeled so far and the brown is what's burnt and yet to be peeled.  How nasty!  Here are some skin pieces (for those who loved to be grossed out):
OMG!  Can you believe I live with this freak show??  Not to worry, I think this is exactly what he needed to start taking skin protection seriously.  Sunscreen is now a huge part of our daily lives (which of course it should have been before, but we're hard-headed, can't ya tell?) and we are in the process of getting him a hat.  This shouldn't be an issue anymore (I hope).

In other (not sickening) news, I bought a pineapple and cut it up and it was insanely good:
Pineapples here are so sweet and delish I just can't believe it.  I plan on eating everything pineapple until we leave.

We're planning our next adventure to a couple National Parks.  Manuel Antonio is less than 2 hours away and is the most famous National Park in Costa Rica.  We are going on Tuesday (they are closed Monday).  After that, things are still up in the air.  We want to try to get to Corcovado National Park (the most bio-diverse area in the world), but it's pretty far south and it's way more difficult to get to.  We're still trying to figure out the cheapest and yet most efficient way to get there.  I'll keep you posted on what we decide.

We're almost at the one month mark (can you believe it??) and we only booked our apartment for March, so now we have to figure out where in Costa Rica we would like to move (we also have the option to stay put).  We're torn because we've grown to really love Jaco, but we also think we should try living somewhere else for the last month to familiarize ourselves with another part of the country.  Ahh!  Too many choices!  Again, once we know, you'll know.

I'm off to do more research.  It never ends...
