Rewind: Nice and Monaco

**Just wanted to thank everyone for the birthday wishes!  I had a really great day!  Okay, let's get to Nice!**

After Paris, we took the train to the South of France.  Here are what the seats in first class looked like:
We passed a bunch of sunflower fields:
Here's our room at the hostel:
Not bad.  Then we went out for dinner and all the food was so expensive!  I got a salad with all the fixings and Aaron got a burger:
To be fair, they put A LOT of bacon on my salad, but this meal was over 40 Euro!  It's a damn salad!  I should have gotten filet mignon!
Then we walked around the town:
It was beautiful!  Then we did a pub crawl and went to a bunch of bars/clubs around the city.

The next day, I woke up and Aaron had gone out to get me macaroons!  I had been wanting to try them before we left France and we tried every flavor:
Then we decided to go to Monaco to hit the beach.  We were told the Monaco beach was much nicer than the Nice beach, so we walked to the bus stop and got lost for about an hour.  I did get some good pics of town though.  We walked through this super pristine park:
This is the kid's play structure:
Seriously?  It looks like a movie set!
On the bus:
In Monaco:
Monte Carlo Casino:
Fancy cars parked outside:
I'd never seen so many fancy cars in one day!  Rolls Royce, Bentley, Ferrari, you name it, it was there (and more than 1 too!).
We couldn't go inside The Monte Carlo because we were both wearing sandals, which is a no-no!  Oh well, off to the beach!
It was beautiful!  The sand was tiny pebbles, but they were smooth, so it was comfortable.  The water was perfect.
We spend the entire afternoon and then went back to Nice and had an early night, so we could catch our train to Venice the next morning.  We're going to Italy!
