La Festa de Gracia

Like I mentioned previously, our neighborhood has an annual festival called Festa de Gracia, where different streets compete to be the most elaborately decorated.  We went out to the store and ran right into a parade!
The street near our street had a Flintstones theme:
Everything is handmade, I love stuff like this!  So creative!
Another street had a circus tent filled with weird stuff:
We went back to Placa de la Vila de Gracia:
They had an outdoor bar:
With a stage set up for a show:
Mozart Street:
It looked like most of the art was made from recycled products, basically it all looked like it came from garbage (which is really neat):
Bottle-caps:
Produce:
Made of soda can tabs:
Egg cartons:
Very cool.

Then we went home and I made a super delish cucumber salad:
It had cucumber (dur!), tomato and onion with salt, pepper, a tiny squeeze of lemon and a balsamic vinegar reduction.  It sounds complicated, but this literally took me less than 5 minutes.  Perfectly refreshing on a warm summer day.

Totally off subject, we watched a movie last night that was so good, I needed to give it a shout-out.  I'd never heard of it before, but we saw it on YouTube and gave it a shot (we can't access our Netflix here, so we've been watching stuff on YouTube).  It's called Predestination starring Ethan Hawke and it was fantastic.  Watch it immediately and PAY ATTENTION.  So good.  It was hard to find a second time, so here's the link we used on YouTube:
When you click the link, make sure to rewind to the beginning because it starts playing at the end.  Sorry!
Off to make dinner!  Ta ta for now!
