The Cliffs of Moher

We woke up early again, but this time we were pretty hungover.  Last night was intense!  We checked out of our hostel and stumbled to the bus station.  The bus driver was way too enthusiastic for us, so we sat in the very back and tried to sleep.  However, once again, Ireland is amazing!
This was a castle, but I can't remember the name.  Oops.
The tint is from the glass, sorry.
Largest thatched roof in Ireland:
I can't believe I'm in Ireland.  Just bury me here.

After about an hour, we arrived at Aillwee Caves.
We paid 5 Euro and took a 30 minute tour of an actual cave!  I've never been inside a cave before.  DISCLAIMER:  It was pretty dark inside the cave, so the pictures are terrible.
This is a bear bed.  They used to hibernate here hundreds of years ago.
Some parts were really narrow, but others were wide open:
Little stalactites:
Big stalactites:
The walls of the cave were colorful:
Big stalagmite:
We're in a cave!
It was super cold, dark, damp and even claustrophobic at times, but a very neat experience.
The outside view was beautiful.  This is the cave:

This is when you turn around and look the other way:
Stunning!  Yes, in case you were wondering, I took a piece of cave:
Shh!

Then it was back on the bus on our way to The Cliffs of Moher!
It was packed with tourists, everywhere you looked, but who cares, it was incredible!
Entrance, snack bar, bathrooms, gift shop:
Let's find the cliffs!!!

We walked this direction and onto the actual cliffs.  Believe it or not, there is no barrier preventing you from a most violent death, should you fall.  Plus the ground is unstable and it's windy, so it's a bad mix, but we were feeling daring, so we went right up to the edge and peeked down.
On the cliffs, looking the other way:
It felt like being on the edge of the Earth and it was a humbling experience.
There's a huge cave under the cliffs:
We turned and walked the other way, towards the castle.
We paid 2 Euro each, and up we went:
It's basically just a view point, but a pretty good one, I will say:
Then we walked back down:
This guy was playing the flute:
Went to the snack bar and got pizza (man, we're really into pizza lately):
I pressed a penny:
Here's the walk we did:
Yes, I also took a piece of The Cliffs.  Shh!

Then back on the bus and off to the village of Doolin, for a quick lunch break.
A quaint, but very cute town surrounded by big grassy fields.
We weren't hungry, but I wanted to try the seafood chowder.
It had a lot of salmon and it was delish!  It came with this crusty, homemade bread that was so good!
Aaron tried the local craft beer, Dooliner:
Back on the bus!
Then we were back in Galway.  We had one more beer before heading to the train station:
Then we got back on the train and 2 and a half hours later, we were back in Dublin.  We walked around a bit on our last night, since it was Saturday night everyone was going nuts in the streets!  We were tired and had to wake up early AGAIN tomorrow, so we opted to get one more kebab from Zaytoon.  I watched him make the bread:
Then it was off to bed.  Ireland, how we have loved you!  Happy Fourth of July everyone!
