Galway

We woke up Friday morning and took a cab to the train station.

We were a little worse for the wear because we spent Thursday night in Dublin tripping around the city, in a mob of party-goers:
Then went back to Zaytoon for some grub:
Can't be beat!

So, it's safe to say we were a bit tired.  Luckily the seats were comfy:
The view made it hard to nap:
Ireland is gorgeous!  This is exactly what I picture when I think of Ireland: neon green grass, cows and sheep grazing and blue skies.  Winner winner chicken dinner!
2 and a half hours later, we were in Galway.
The town of Galway is equally pretty.  It's so charming, like something out of a movie:
Can you spot Aaron?  You might have to zoom in because he's hiding:
There he is!  Yea, we're idiots.
Aaron liked that they call the trash litter:
Jess, they even have a Paddy's Pub!
Here it's called TK Maxx:
I went a little nuts buying a few new clothes.  It just needed to happen.
In the center of town is Eyer Square:
We checked into The Celtic Tourist Hostel (2 minutes from the center.  Everything is practically 2 minutes from the center):

We got 2 beds in a 10-bed dorm:
Kitchen:
View from kitchen:
Now I'm famished, so we found a pub called Richardson's:
I ordered a Guinness steak pie:
Not fantastic, the meat was tough.  However, the Guinness was fantastic:
Ignore Aaron, he's a man-child.
At this point, we head back to the hostel to book our tour for tomorrow to see The Cliffs of Moher.  It was recommended to us by multiple people we've met here, so we figured why not.  For 50 Euro, we both get a guided bus tour to The Cliffs, as well as a few other locations.  The bus follows the blue route.
We paid a 10 Euro deposit and were told they would collect the other 40 Euro at some point during the bus ride.  Amazingly, they never did!  They forgot and so did we!  So we got the entire tour for 10 Euro!  Score!
After a nice nap and some water, we were ready to fill our bodies with more Guinness.  We headed downtown.
It was packed, but everyone is SO NICE!  I've never been anywhere like Ireland before, people are extremely nice.  Forget Southern hospitality, here it's genuine, bend over backwards for strangers, niceness.  Can't be compared to anything I've ever seen before.  It just makes you smile.  We made a new friend, Amy from The Netherlands:
Amy is the coolest and is my new international best friend.  Even though we had one night together, when you meet people while traveling, you bond over shared amazing experiences and it just fuses you for life.  Amy is someone I know I'll stay friends with for a long time.
Since we were American, we got free shots at this bar:
They love America here!
Cute Hoor is yummy too!
Then it was late and everything was closing, so we walked Amy to her hostel and went for some food.  We found this food court filled with people:
I went to get a slice of pizza and the guy in line ahead of me gave me one of his!  Not a slice, mind you, but a whole pizza!  I tried to say no, but he insisted.  He asked me to sit with him while we noshed, so I did and he was so nice!  I'm telling you, I've never met nice people like in Ireland.  I scored a giant pizza for free.  If that doesn't just say it all, I don't know what does.
Tomorrow we go to Cliffs of Moher!  Don't miss it!
